The information required by Section 5(1) of the German Digital Services Act (Digitale-Dienste-Gesetz, "DDG", in force since 14 May 2024, which replaced the former Section 5 of the German Telemedia Act, Telemediengesetz, "TMG") is:

The provider is a natural person operating as a sole proprietor; no entry is made in the commercial register, and no supervisory authority licenses the service within the meaning of Section 5(1) No. 3 DDG.
A note on terminology
"Digital Services Act" in English commonly refers to Regulation (EU) 2022/2065, a European Union regulation governing online platforms and very large online services. CrucibleMark is not subject to that Regulation. The "DDG" referenced above is the German Digital Services Act (Digitale-Dienste-Gesetz), which is the national law implementing EU Directive 2000/31/EC. The two should not be confused.
2. Editorial responsibility under the German Interstate Media Treaty
The person editorially responsible for the journalistic and editorial content published on this website, within the meaning of Section 18(2) of the German Interstate Media Treaty (Medienstaatsvertrag, "MStV"), is:

3. Use of AI tools in editorial production
Some articles, model summaries, and report text on this website were drafted with the assistance of generative AI tools. All such content is reviewed, edited, and, where appropriate, rewritten before publication. The provider named above assumes full editorial responsibility for the final form of each piece.
This disclosure is made in the spirit of transparency required by Article 50 of the EU AI Act for AI systems that interact with natural persons, and it serves readers who want to know how the content was produced.
The benchmark results reported on this site (numerical scores, timing measurements, and qualitative evaluations) were produced by the CrucibleMark benchmark runner using publicly documented test prompts and procedures. AI tools were used to describe the results in human-readable form, not to fabricate them.
4. Applicable law and audience
This website is operated from Potsdam, Germany. The service is therefore subject to German law, in particular:
- the German Digital Services Act (Digitale-Dienste-Gesetz, DDG),
- the German Interstate Media Treaty (Medienstaatsvertrag, MStV),
- the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (Bundesdatenschutzgesetz, BDSG),
- the German Telemedia confidentiality rules (formerly Section 13 TMG, now Section 3 DDG).
The website is directed at a general, international audience. It is published in English and German.
Where you are a consumer in a country whose mandatory consumer-protection rules grant you stronger rights than German law, those rights continue to apply and are not waived by this notice.
5. Nature of the service

- a "magazin" with editorial commentary on AI-related topics, and
- a political compass that maps model behaviour on a set of policy prompts.
CrucibleMark is not:
- a regulated financial-services firm. Nothing on this site is investment, trading, or financial-product advice within the meaning of the EU Markets in Financial Instruments Directive (MiFID II), the U.S. Investment Advisers Act of 1940, or any equivalent rule.
- a regulated legal-services firm. Nothing on this site is legal advice.
- a model vendor, broker, or reseller. We do not sell access to any model we describe, and we do not act as agent for any vendor.
- a cloud provider. We do not host, serve, or process inference on behalf of any reader.
- an employer seeking workers or contractors through this site.
Vendor names, model names, and benchmark numbers are used for editorial identification and comparative analysis only. Any commercial decision you make on the basis of what you read here is your own.
6. No warranties
The content of this website has been compiled with reasonable care. However:
- The information may not be accurate, complete, or current at the moment you read it. Language models evolve continuously; benchmark results reflect a specific version on a specific date.
- Nothing on this site constitutes a warranty, guarantee, or promise of any specific outcome, performance, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement, to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law.
- Forward-looking statements (if any) reflect the provider's opinion at the time of writing, not a commitment.
If you notice an error, please write to kontakt@media-garage.de.
7. Liability for content
The provider is responsible for his own content on these pages under general law. There is, however, no obligation to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information, and there is no obligation to search for circumstances that indicate unlawful activity (analogous to the former Sections 7 and 8 of the German Telemedia Act, now in the DDG). Upon becoming aware of a specific legal violation, the affected content will be removed without delay.
Where this site republishes or links to third-party content (for example, a research paper, a model card, or a press release), the responsibility lies with the original publisher. We mark third-party content as such where the context permits.
8. Liability for links
This website contains links to external third-party websites. The provider has no influence over their content and therefore cannot accept liability for it. The respective provider or operator of the linked pages is always responsible for the content of those pages.
At the time of linking, no unlawful content was apparent. Permanent monitoring of the linked pages is unreasonable without concrete indications of a legal violation. Upon becoming aware of legal violations, such links will be removed without delay.
Clicking an external link may transfer your IP address and referrer URL to the destination server. For information on how that interacts with EU GDPR rules, see the Privacy Policy.
9. Copyright
The content, texts, images, graphics, and other works published on this website are protected by German copyright law and by the international copyright treaties to which Germany is a party (Berne Convention, WIPO Copyright Treaty, TRIPS), unless otherwise indicated.
Where content on this website was not created by the operator, the copyrights of third parties are respected and such content is identified as such. Should you nonetheless become aware of a copyright infringement, please notify kontakt@media-garage.de with a link to the page and a brief description. Upon becoming aware of a legal violation, the affected content will be removed without delay.
Unauthorised copying, redistribution, republication, or commercial use of editorial content requires the prior written consent of the provider.
The CrucibleMark benchmark methodology and the brand name "CrucibleMark" are the provider's intellectual property and may not be used to suggest endorsement or affiliation without the provider's prior written consent.
10. Online dispute resolution and consumer arbitration
The European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (ODR) for consumers resident in the European Union:
https://ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr/
The provider is not obliged, and not willing, to participate in a dispute-resolution proceeding before a consumer arbitration board within the meaning of Section 36 of the German Consumer Dispute Resolution Act (Verbraucherstreitbeilegungsgesetz, VSBG).
If you have a complaint, please write to kontakt@media-garage.de first. We will try to resolve it directly.
