Accessibility statement
This accessibility statement applies to the CrucibleMark website.
The goal is to make the website as barrier-free and accessible as possible. During development, emphasis was placed on a robust, semantic, and well-operable implementation so that content can be used by as many people as possible regardless of individual limitations, devices used, or assistive technologies.
Compliance status
This website is currently assessed as largely compliant with digital accessibility requirements. The implementation is guided by the success criteria of WCAG 2.1 at conformance level AA, as well as the relevant requirements of EN 301 549 and BITV 2.0.
Despite careful design, implementation, and review, it cannot be ruled out that individual barriers have gone undetected or may arise in certain usage situations. The website is therefore continuously reviewed and improved as needed.
Review method
The assessment is based on a self-evaluation. The most important pages, navigation paths, and interactive elements were reviewed manually, with particular attention to keyboard operability, semantic structure, color contrast, zoom behavior, focus management, and basic usability without a mouse.
During development, care was also taken to use technical and design foundations that are as barrier-free as possible. These include in particular a semantic page structure, visible focus states, responsive behavior, and restrained, comprehensible interaction design.
Measures implemented
The following measures, among others, have been applied to the website:
- semantic HTML for structure and content
- coherent heading hierarchy
- keyboard operability of key navigation elements and interactions
- visible focus indicators for interactive elements
- skip link to bypass recurring sections
- sufficient color contrast according to the current design
- responsive layout and usable display even at high zoom levels
- no auto-playing audio or video content
- content structure that is as clear and comprehensible as possible.
Accessible diagrams and visualizations
The website may contain interactive diagrams and visualizations. Where technically feasible, these are supplemented with a textual description, appropriate alternative texts, or a comprehensible summary so that the content remains accessible with screen readers or without visual perception.
For more complex diagrams, it may occur that full comprehension does not work equally well in every usage scenario as it does with running text. Such representations are therefore additionally explained in the text or supplemented with appropriate descriptions wherever possible.
Potential remaining barriers
Despite the high standard of accessibility, limitations may still occur in individual cases. This can affect in particular areas that are known to be sensitive in many web projects, such as more complex data representations, individual detail states in responsive behavior, rarely used page types, or compatibility with certain combinations of browsers and assistive technologies.
If the website uses diagrams, interactive visualizations, or other complex presentation formats, these may not be equally accessible in every respect compared to running text or conventional navigation structures. Such areas are continuously revised where possible, or supplemented with comprehensible accompanying information.
